The Model 360 allows accurate laboratory measurements of the dissolved oxygen in aqueous solutions and is particularly suited for long-term data recording with both strip-chart recorders (analogue output) and a personal computer (serial RS-232 interface).
This instrument allows use of any "polarographic" sensor (Clark cell) with gold and silver electrodes and PTFE membrane. The AMEL cell Model 332/P offers all the advantages of reduced dimensions (12 mm diameter) for easy use with adapters for BOD bottles (AMEL accessory Model 332/BOD) and a practical cartridge-type, disposable membrane. The AMEL cell is also fitted with two embedded temperature sensors: one measuring and the other compensating.
The Model 360, totally microprocessor-controlled, is equipped with two measuring ranges calibrated directly in ppm of O 2and one range in % of saturation. A separate display allows to monitor the temperature at any moment. The auto-calibration function, allows a quick and precise standardization of both instrument and cell, using as reference the atmospheric oxygen: to that purpose the instrument includes a complete values table of the atmospheric oxygen concentration versus temperature and barometric pressure.
The auto-stability function grants valid measurements checking for read data to stay stable during the allotted time between two predetermined limits. Other remarkable characteristics of this flexible instrument are: the RS-232 interface which has the dual function of direct output to an impact printer or for connection to a computer.
The analogue output for strip-chart recorders. Numeric values as well as the operating parameters, are entered with a fully-sealed membrane keyboard which has both a tactile feel and an audible response. Two large 7-segment LCD displays give a clear presentation of data. Active functions and the operating modes are immediately indicated by a series of LED annunciators.
